Andreas Sohmen-Pao will take on the role of CEO at BW Gas Limited from 1 July 2009, succeeding Jan Håkon Pettersen. 

Mr. Pettersen's employment was due to expire this year, and he will step down from his current position on 30 June and join the company's board of directors. Garup Meidell, Deputy CEO, will also be leaving the company on 30 June. Andreas Sohmen-Pao is currently Vice Chairman of BW Gas Limited.

BW Gas Chairman Helmut Sohmen said: "In his capacity as CFO until last year, we are grateful to Garup for his financial leadership over the years. Jan Håkon has made a substantial contribution to BW Gas over the past 17 years, from bringing the company into the LNG arena to leading the company through various challenges in the recent past. We are pleased to have his continued input and counsel on the board."
