The 83,800 cbm VLGC BW Austria was delivered to BW Gas from DSME on 12 March. She was named on 10 March with the Austrian First Lady, Margit Fischer, as sponsor. The ceremony was attended by external dignitaries including the Norwegian and Austrian ambassadors to South Korea. BW Austria is one of four sister vessels ordered by BW Gas and Maran Gas. The companies took two vessels each with BW Lord delivered to BW Gas in September 2008. BW Austria was BW Gas’ last LPG newbuilding on order.
