The company is responsible for developing good safety procedures and routines, and supplying appropriate personal safety/protective equipment. The personal safety of the personnel on board will in any event ultimately depend on each individual's ability to care for his own and his fellow workers' safety. It is therefore necessary for the company and each crew member to cooperate whereby:

• The company provides safety arrangements at the workplace and motivates each individual to take care of his own safety and health, and will maintain a system for follow-up of accidents, injuries and near-accident situations
• Each individual focus on his/her own safety and report any unsafe operation to his superior.
